East Coast Trip 2015 - April 13-17

An important part of this trip is that students are not allowed to bring electronic devices such as iPads, iPods, mobile phones or any device for communicating via text or voice. Nor are music players allowed. Because we have traveled on many east coast trips and several international trips where mobile devices were not allowed, we are confident of providing a safe experience without them. And, more importantly, we are confident of the enriched experience that students will have without their devices. 

The experience is fuller and more memorable when not in possession of mobile devices from waiting to board the plane, while in the air and throughout the time on the ground. Students are with each other. They are relieved of the responsibility of texting, updating family and friends and otherwise managing their devices. To connect family and friends with the trip, we have created this blog spot for photos and short messages.

Please know that cameras are allowed if they are solely cameras and not cameras on mobile devices. Keep in mind that cameras can be as distracting in their own way as mobile devices. There is a great relief in not being behind a camera throughout the trip, as well. If a camera is brought, we ask that students not publish photos of other students on their social sites without permission or notification to those students.
